Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in hardware systems development and integration. A strong background in electrical engineering fundamentals, system-level design, and experience with contract manufacturers is required. Knowledge of EMI mitigation, signal integrity, power systems, and standard interfaces such as USB, SPI, I2C, LVDS, and PCIe is essential. Proficiency in PCB design, schematic capture, and layout using Altium is also necessary, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Staff Electrical Engineer will lead hardware design from concept to production by prototyping and validating designs. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, ID, and Firmware to ensure proper system integration. The role involves working across departments with Program Management, Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Care to drive cross-functional integration efforts and make decisions based on trade-offs.
