About the Job

At Life360, we collect a lot of data: 60 billion unique location points, 12 billion user actions, 8 billion miles driven every single month, and so much more. As a Staff Data Engineer & Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure, developing frameworks, and establishing architectural patterns that enhance our entire data engineering team's efficiency. You will contribute to building and maintaining our data processing and storage pipelines/workflows while ensuring robust security, scalability, and innovation through AI integration. You should have a strong engineering background and even more importantly a desire to take ownership of our data systems to make them world class.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise-wide data architecture strategies that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop reusable frameworks and tools that accelerate development time for the entire data engineering team.
  • Architect scalable data warehouse solutions that support our growing data volumes while maintaining performance.
  • Create and maintain data modeling standards and best practices for the organization.

Data Infrastructure and Innovation

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable data infrastructure.
