Requirements

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of related experience in data engineering with a bachelor’s degree; or a master’s degree with 3 years’ experience. They must possess the ability to architect simple and complex solutions related to integration with other applications and design, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong presentation skills. Experience working under tight deadlines while maintaining high product relevance and quality is required, as well as familiarity with Azure Data Factory pipelines and Databricks, and 5 years’ experience working with Azure databases and the MS SQL stack. Extensive experience with Azure - Cloud migration and Python is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for corporate claims data acquisition, file loading and structure development, collaborating effectively with development groups to deliver projects to client satisfaction, maintaining knowledge of latest technologies, identifying enhancement options and process improvements, assisting with schema design and code review, writing and deploying SQL code, guiding and mentoring junior teammates, becoming skilled with the architecture and technology supporting the Datawarehouse and Lakehouse, ensuring the distribution of knowledge for processes being designed and built, participating in the formulation and design of methodologies, training in developing tools for the Datawarehouse infrastructure, and monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to identify and resolve performance issues, bottlenecks, and data anomalies.
