Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a graduate degree in data science, analytics, mathematics, machine learning, computer science, or a related field, although a demonstrated track record of applying analytical skills in a product or business setting may substitute for formal advanced education. Candidates are expected to have at least 8 years of relevant work experience in a data or quantitative field.

Responsibilities

The Staff Data Analyst will drive personalization, recommendation, and product marketplace improvement efforts by forming a high-level perspective on objectives across departments and identifying business problems that could benefit from data solutions. They will establish best practices for training and development of data models, collaborate with Data or ML Engineers to deploy trained models into production, manage a portfolio of existing Grailed Data Zone products, use historical data to quantify similarity, evaluate model performance, mine user data for personalization improvements, develop and maintain data models in Snowflake, utilize Python to create ML models, develop user-to-user mapping capabilities, analyze message content to detect fraudulent activities, and collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to provide data-driven solutions.
