Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts across territories
  • Build and expand strong broker and client relationships
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute a national distribution plan
  • Drive relationship mapping and strategic growth initiatives
  • Monitor market conditions and confirm information within market space
  • Research risk, environment, and factors necessary to win accounts
  • Perform analysis of sophisticated accounts and prepare reports on risks underwritten
  • Review agency books of business, profit/growth results, and trends to recommend and implement plans
  • Analyze regional underwriting performance, identify territory-level problems, and propose action plans
  • Achieve production, profitability, and service objectives
  • Quote, price, and underwrite policies and endorsements for complex accounts
  • Monitor risk selection and pricing decisions for entire agency plant
  • Manage workflow and intricacies of underwriting significant volume of work
  • Coordinate with underwriting team to meet service level agreements and execute agency business plans
  • Collaborate with leaders from other lines of business to increase Nationwide presence
