  • Expertise in owning and managing product backlog, including prioritization, definition, and refinement of epics and features
  • Deep understanding of product’s technical architecture and proposed designs to validate solutions, align work with technical realities, anticipate dependencies, and assess plan impacts
  • Leadership in “shift-left” goals such as automation, AI adoption, security, and quality
  • Ability to identify, document, and manage dependencies and risks early, coordinating resolutions
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills for transparent, regular updates on requirements, plans, and status
  • Proficiency in aligning engineering plans with business expectations and managing those expectations proactively

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is clear, prioritized, refined, and complete for engineering estimation and sprint planning
  • Develop deep technical expertise to validate solutions, define work aligned with technical realities, anticipate dependencies, and assess plan impacts
  • Provide leadership on engineering improvements like automation, AI adoption, security, quality, planning accuracy, velocity, metrics, and product health
  • Identify and document dependencies and risks early; coordinate with teams to resolve and mitigate before work begins
  • Facilitate transparent, regular stakeholder communication to manage expectations and keep teams informed
  • Align engineering plans with business expectations and proactively manage those expectations to reflect achievable outcomes
