Responsibilities

Foster a shared sense of purpose across product teams on the program
Define, communicate, and iteratively refine a clear vision that is compelling to users, stakeholders, and the team
Establish clarity around the “why,” creating a shared sense of purpose at the sprint level so the teams can self-organize around solving problems
Develop an expert understanding of the products, domains, users, and business
Perform continuous product discovery leveraging UX research and design capabilities on the teams to identify and prioritize what needs the teams will meet in order to maximize value and outcome delivery
Convey high level intent in a way that fosters creative, cross-functional problem solving, and that supports team self-organization and team member self-management (i.e. user stories, story maps, etc.)
Communicate product strategy, roadmaps, and progress to stakeholders to empower informed decision-making
Drive product development using agile delivery best practices
Work with the team Product Managers to manage the product roadmap and backlog and prioritize problems to be solved
Break down problems to be solved in ways that value can be delivered iteratively and incrementally
Lead the team to early validation of risky assumptions, and early and continuous delivery of value
Collaborate with Program-level leads and team Product Managers in establishing standard best practices across all teams on the program
Balance strategic and tactical Product Management responsibilities based on the needs of the teams, stakeholders, and users
Establish a healthy, trust-based rapport with teammates and stakeholders
Collaboratively identify and work to understand stakeholder constraints
Develop solutions that address diverse and sometimes conflicting stakeholder needs
Work with a team of 4 Product Managers, a Lead Delivery Manager, a UX Lead and lead Architect/Engineer to establish standard ways of working: creating and managing product roadmaps, and backlogs, creating and maintaining documentation, and escalating and managing product issues
Be involved in presentations and workshops related to upcoming work as well as work completed
Coach other Product Managers on the teams around product best practices, and provide feedback regarding continuous improvements from sprint to sprint
