Requirements

Candidates must have experience deploying infrastructure solutions on major public clouds such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience in infrastructure as code and automation at scale are required. Knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Systems Engineer will work with Cloud Architects to build secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. They will utilize public cloud platforms to guide the design and implementation of enterprise-level infrastructure, and promote DevOps principles by driving the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation. The engineer will establish and maintain standard foundational services for Visa's public cloud environment, ensuring security, cost optimization, and developer productivity. Responsibilities include ensuring the availability, performance, and security of cloud-hosted applications, collaborating to mature the cloud ecosystem, and developing processes to unify multiple public cloud environments. They will also define and document best practices for cloud infrastructure provisioning, implement robust logging and monitoring solutions, and design and deliver cloud solutions using IaC tools. Additionally, the role involves setting up and refining CI/CD pipeline templates to automate cloud application deployments.
