Senior Cloud Architect, Network

The Senior Cloud Architect (Network) is responsible for the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud network and cloud computing, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. This role involves leading Humana's network infrastructure implementation for Google Cloud, developing specifications for new cloud computing products and services, and assessing the compatibility and integration of proposed standards. The architect will provide strategic advice, evaluate cloud network performance criteria, prepare capacity needs analysis for switching, routing, transmission, and signaling, and conduct cloud network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Responsibilities also include developing alternative cloud routing scenarios, conducting economic and population growth studies to inform capacity planning, and influencing department strategy. The position requires performing on-call and implementation duties as needed and delivering solutions for Multi-Cloud network connectivity, optimizing the cloud network ecosystem for performance, resiliency, availability, resource utilization, and innovation. This includes providing cloud network design, engineering, and administrative support for physical and virtual networking devices within Multi-Cloud environments, leveraging state-of-the-art networking technologies like virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).
