Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements into software compositions and build clean, efficient, extensible, and maintainable code
  • Be responsible for a large functional area, possessing in-depth knowledge and expertise
  • Act as an influencer across domain teams, guiding others towards making the right technical decisions
  • Boost team efficiency by identifying and promoting opportunities for efficiency improvements
  • Identify areas in team applications likely to change and integrate flexibility into the development to improve engineering velocity
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners to develop innovative solutions that adhere to development goals and principles
  • Practice evidence-centered development, making features testable and ensuring high quality and improved velocity in continuous delivery
  • Manage project features by breaking them into sub-tasks, identifying, and resolving issues for efficient execution
  • Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to immediate team members and other teams, contributing and reviewing ADRs (Architecture Decision Records)
  • Identify gaps and issues across systems and functional areas, propose solutions, build the engineering roadmap, and drive resolution
  • Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an "always-on" 24/7 site
