Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experience, and a minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, including some experience in IC leadership or EM capacity.
The Sr. Software Engineering Manager will be a strong partner to product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features, including improving user acquisition metrics, cross-selling and upselling products, and improving user experience. They will drive the design and implementation of new product areas and features, break down complex problems into their bare essentials, translate this complexity into elegant design, and create high-quality, maintainable code. The Manager will guide their team through ambiguity and ensure technical excellence through rapid experimentation cycles, guide teams to strong execution—make pragmatic decisions, and guide teams to launch MVPs quickly and iterate based on feedback, lead team through frequent pivots and evolving priorities in a fast-changing environment, recruit other great engineers for your team and help in the recruiting efforts for different teams, be a mentor and coach for the engineers on your team, and manage cross-functional relationships with all teams to deliver high-quality products.
