Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. Experience with large-scale, highly available systems is essential, along with a deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and automation tools. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with monitoring tools like New Relic and Grafana are also required.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Site Reliability Engineer will engage in and improve the entire lifecycle of solutions, from inception and design through to build/test, deployment, operation, and refinement. They will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing, ensuring validation of Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) across critical systems. This role involves ensuring solutions are reliable, fault-tolerant, secure, efficiently scalable, available, reachable, and cost-effective, establishing meaningful SLAs and SLOs, and proactively tracking compliance. The engineer will measure, monitor, and alert on system health, respond to disruptions and resolve incidents efficiently, troubleshoot issues with distributed systems, and contribute to the development and implementation of automation scripts and tools using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. They will also administer and maintain automation scripts and tools, and participate in blameless postmortems to prevent recurrence of incidents.
