Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project and/or program management, including at least 5 years specifically within Healthcare IT environments. Formal project management certifications such as PMP, CSM, or PgMP are preferred. The role requires exceptional command of formal project management methodologies, including planning, risk and issue management, financial oversight, change management, test management, and executive status reporting. Proficiency with at least one enterprise-level Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool like ServiceNow, Clarity, Planview, or Smartsheets is necessary. Candidates must also have Cerner experience and be able to work on-site in Ventura, CA for 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will lead and oversee transformative IT projects within the healthcare sector, contributing directly to initiatives that improve patient care and operational efficiency. This includes engaging in stimulating challenges and applying expertise to critical healthcare technology initiatives. The role involves managing multiple concurrent projects using a hybrid project management framework, skillfully applying both Waterfall (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Responsibilities include fostering collaborative environments with business leaders, clinical stakeholders, and IT teams, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and deliverables, and working autonomously with minimal supervision to take full ownership of project outcomes.
