  • Strong collaboration skills with line supervisor, Quality Engineer, and operators
  • Accountability for quality, output, and yield of assigned manufacturing line
  • Experience as engineering management representative, executing initiatives and working with direct labor workforce
  • Role potentially as sustaining engineer for the department
  • Senior-level experience as subject matter expert in site products and processes
  • Expert in statistics, product, and engineering processes
  • Mid to advanced level proficiency in Solidworks for modeling/drafting assemblies, fixtures, and tools
  • Knowledge of procedures related to equipment controls

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned line output, safety, yield, and quality
  • Identify product defects and determine operational/process actions to reduce defects, including equipment troubleshooting and work order requests
  • Work with line support team (QC supervisor, Mfg. Supervisor, Quality Engineer, Operations) for on-line issue triage, evaluate non-conformance, bracketing/containment, and generate CAPAs
  • Maintain product/process knowledge and understanding of cause/effect of line changes
  • Provide engineering fixes like tooling (TLTs) and manufacturing aids from idea to implementation
  • Support technicians and supervisors in equipment availability issues
  • Support Training and Certification Program and improve trainings/certifications
  • Determine quality impact of Out-of-Tolerance documents
  • Execute line-related change management (material, equipment, process changes)
