Requirements

Expertise in Enterprise IT Services sub-categories (hardware, labor, software, cloud, data center, network/telephony, end user compute)
Highly skilled in spend analytics, market intelligence, and vendor agreements to build/maintain sourcing opportunities pipeline
Ability to define and execute sourcing strategies driving P&L value
Strong relationship management with key stakeholders and executive leaders
Enterprise mindset with highly developed business background
Strong communication skills to establish lasting relationships with business leaders, internal/external stakeholders, and executives
Leadership experience to represent procurement on large-scale strategic initiatives/special projects (e.g., sourcing process transformation, acquisition integration)
Ability to lead development/delivery of category management plans
Experience leading/mentoring Category Managers and Analysts

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain short, medium- and long-term category management and strategic sourcing plans, spend profiles, and pipeline of opportunities
Establish scheduled sourcing and category management reviews/planning sessions with key leaders in assigned business area, shared services, and procurement leadership; position self as category management/strategic sourcing expert
Lead and mentor category manager/analyst resources on sourcing activities/analysis for successful RFx event execution aligned with category strategy
Accountable for development/delivery of savings targets and measuring savings achievements
Lead and manage delivery of major sourcing events with high complexity, spend, and/or visibility
Educate key leaders in assigned business area on CVS Health policies/processes supporting Strategic Sourcing & Category Management; communicate/demonstrate team value proposition
Maintain status of all completed, active, and planned sourcing activities as part of pipeline management; review with Procurement management and key business leaders
Build category strategy and pipeline of opportunities leveraging spend analytics
