Requirements

  • 8+ years experience within Early Career / Emerging Talent Recruiting, with extensive focus across both program management, event management, and recruiting delivery
  • At least 5 years people leader experience with direct reports
  • Global experience required within talent acquisition function
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Serve as part of the Early Career Talent (ECT) leadership team and partner with executives, HR leadership team, and hiring leaders to develop, implement, and execute customized strategies to attract and retain best-in-class early career talent globally
  • Lead four key pillars within the Early Career Enablement Team: Programs, Partnerships, Events, and Strategy, Solutions & Operations Enablement
  • Programs: Oversee a global team of program managers; partner with business stakeholders to develop, execute, maintain, and manage a cohesive program in a hybrid approach to support interns, new college graduates, rotational programs, apprenticeships, and other workforce of the future initiatives; oversee program development as a recruitment tool through alternative channels (e.g., military, community colleges, bootcamps); partner and support research-based programs including PhD programs
  • Partnerships: Own strategic planning for external and internal partnerships globally; ensure local resources and business have tools and training to execute partnership strategy; establish and maintain core university partnerships to position Western Digital as employer of choice with continuous evaluation; partner with CTO Office for R&D to align strategic core partnerships with critical research partners for talent pipeline needs; explore and position alternative talent channels for Workforce of the Future initiatives; partner internally to provide training and resources for business recruitment, retention, and engagement activities, including with ERGs
  • Events: Evaluate and manage Event Relations specialists handling recruitment event activities globally; ensure proper resources, tools, collateral, and strategy for seamless recruitment events that pipeline talent; partner with marketing, facilities, or external vendors to manage Western Digital brand and resources
  • Strategy, Solutions & Operations Enablement: Oversee the strategy, solutions & operations enablement team focused on project management, workforce planning, process improvement, resource management, governance & compliance, and brand enablement support to the ECT team
