Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the technical vision and strategy for the New Deal For Pro team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional counterparts on strategy and execution
  • Collaborate with teams outside of the org to drive team execution
  • Drive team execution against team-specific OKRs
  • Guide and help the team in making complex technical tradeoffs decisions
  • Hire, coach, and manage full-stack engineers at all levels, including Staff+ engineers
  • Build and evolve a high-performing culture of excellence on the team
  • Maintain and scale the infrastructure owned by the team
  • Work closely with other engineering leaders to evolve and continually improve Thumbtack's engineering culture
  • Collaborate with the New Hiring Experience org to drive strategy and product changes
  • Participate in market-based tests and research to validate the success of the New Deal For Pro team
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and guides for the New Deal For Pro team
  • Collaborate with the Trust & Safety team to ensure the security and safety of the Thumbtack platform
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the Thumbtack platform
  • Collaborate with the Monetization team to ensure the success of the Thumbtack platform
