Requirements

  • Bachelor degree
  • 8-10 years of direct sales experience in relevant industry; experience in Bio-pharma or Bio-Tech industry preferred; relevant experience may include bidding, project selling, client management
  • Preferred knowledge in CDMO industry, Clinical service industry, Clinical Study or CRO industry
  • Strong communication skills in Chinese and reading/writing skills in business English
  • Presentation skills, influencing skills, drive for results
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to work in complex, matrix environment with clients and internally at Thermo Fisher Scientific
  • Work schedule: 08:30 AM to 05:30 PM core hours, additional hours as required; travel in tandem with customers’ requirements and internal meetings

Responsibilities

  • Provide organizational clarity & priorities on new & emerging business development leadership to achieve profitable growth
  • Support and lead BD team to achieve collective targets, develop interpersonal capability and efficient team structure to support business strategy plan and AOP
  • Build strong understanding of assigned customers and their marketplaces through direct customer exchanges, networking, publications, market information, tradeshows, sales conferences, and industry events
  • Actively solicit existing and potential new customers to gain dedication to services
  • Lead all new business development activities inside assigned accounts, through proposal and negotiation, culminating in new contract agreements and “program” accounts
  • Develop and manage efficient account development plan; track progress against key account development milestones; report progress in regularly scheduled account review sessions
  • Prepare call plans to effectively manage time spent with customers for maximum sales impact while minimizing sales acquisition costs
  • Ensure major conflicts with customers around customer service level and billing issues are resolved
  • Call on all customers and conduct account reviews on major customers on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure effective cross-divisional and global coordination with applicable stakeholders
  • Provide realistic sales forecasts to management and communicate significant changes or developments proactively and timely
  • Ensure sales pipeline is filled with opportunities at various stages of sales cycle
  • Ensure management is provided with realistic sales forecasts and kept aware of significant changes or developments; pursue opportunities and leads in a timely way
