Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required (MBA or PMP a plus)
  • 10+ years’ experience in power tools or similar industry in new product development field
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement
  • Fluent Oral English
  • Demonstrated and recognized expertise in technical discipline or process in power tool field or similar industry
  • Proven ability to professionally present information and translate technical knowledge to a variety of audiences
  • Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate, empower and drive engagement
  • Experience successfully communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization both locally and globally
  • Demonstrated business acumen including accounting, finance, business planning and risk management

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch products that align with market demands and Stanley Black & Decker’s strategy
  • Partner with global product managers to identify technical solutions, plan resources and project timelines for new product development
  • Create and influence technical product strategy and roadmaps for assigned category or portfolio
  • Set target deliverables, review status, hold the team accountable and help remove roadblocks
  • Drive teams to deliver complex and/or multiple/concurrent projects of increasing technical complexity and challenges to meet business goals
  • Monitor and make recommendations on engineering resource planning for short and long-term projects
  • Identify ongoing training requirements and ensure the entire department fulfills expectations
  • Drive local talent development, including performance management, individual and team development, and high engagement across teams
