Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required (MBA or PMP a plus)
10+ years’ experience in power tools or similar industry in new product development field
5+ years of engineering leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of significant performance improvement
Fluent Oral English
Demonstrated and recognized expertise in technical discipline or process in power tool field or similar industry
Proven ability to professionally present information and translate technical knowledge to a variety of audiences
Proven leadership skills, with ability to motivate, empower and drive engagement
Experience successfully communicating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization both locally and globally
Demonstrated business acumen including accounting, finance, business planning and risk management

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop and launch products that align with market demands and Stanley Black & Decker’s strategy
Partner with global product managers to identify technical solutions, plan resources and project timelines for new product development
Create and influence technical product strategy and roadmaps for assigned category or portfolio
Set target deliverables, review status, hold the team accountable and help remove roadblocks
Drive teams to deliver complex and/or multiple/concurrent projects of increasing technical complexity and challenges to meet business goals
Monitor and make recommendations on engineering resource planning for short and long-term projects
Identify ongoing training requirements and ensure the entire department fulfills expectations
Drive local talent development, including performance management, individual and team development, and high engagement across teams
