Responsibilities
Reports to the Director-Sales & Marketing, Polyethylene
Develop and execute the Polyethylene Sales Plan
Direct PE field sales representatives on a daily basis: set and communicate sales strategies, establish individual sales goals and account strategies, discuss individual sales and account activity weekly
Travel frequently with field sales & specialists to monitor performance, maintain account familiarity, and help set account strategy
Coach field Sales Team members for professional development and formally evaluate each bi-annually
Train sales reps in territory management, selling techniques, and other skills while assessing needs and directing personal development
Monitor regional sales activity and P&L to maximize profitability: steward sales volume to plan, close gaps, measure T&E expenses vs. sales effectiveness
Oversee territory forecasting for high accuracy and linkage to sales plan
Work with Sales & Product management to maximize product margins and direct sales strategy
Manage DSO reduction through over & short management, etc
Serve as key communication link between Houston management, marketplace, and field sales team: sales plan development, represent field sales in monthly reviews, own contract process from proposal to closure, utilize reports to link activities
Keep current on market activities/conditions via publications, industry involvement, journals, and facilitate information flow to region
Comply with all Company policies and procedures
Support Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence: review areas for improvements, initiate projects, communicate ideas, participate on project teams
