Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • Deep passion and knowledge of global sport and athletes
  • Creative leadership – deep experience working with Sr. Creative Directors and Art Directors to inspire and guide social design teams through ambiguity and complexity
  • Proven creative mastery of internet & social knowledge – thorough ability to deliver outstanding content, ideas, and experiences on time and within budget
  • Strong strategic communication – high proficiency in effectively applying visual skills to communicate complex ideas, aligning stakeholders with clarity and influence
  • Collaboration & influence – proven expertise in building trust across cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Entrepreneurial drive – proficiency in identifying opportunities and driving innovation
  • Talent magnetism – ability to help attract, mentor, and retain top creative talent
  • Online Culture Aptitude – ability to identify trends, know what’s hot, who the latest creators, athletes, and artists are, and identify opportunities to pioneer new ideas through social platforms

Responsibilities

  • Developing high-impact, platform-right campaigns against new brand concepts
  • Partnering within a virtual team to create amazing social ideas, including creative strategic intent, platform innovation, and culture-bending work
  • Demonstrating best utilization of different social platforms, owned partner, and digital channels for innovative creative executions
  • Executing with social platform in mind across Nike brand + partner brand social platforms and emerging mediums for every project
  • Collaborating with creative leadership to build and deepen relationships within each new brand concept team to develop insightful connection points that speak to consumers at the appropriate pulse of culture & sport
  • Influencing and obsessing over how brand concepts and campaign direction show up on owned & partner social handles
  • Discovering new places of virality and consumer insights that push the team and brand in new ways of modern marketing and internet creativity
  • Unlocking innovative storytelling mechanisms to utilize social in untapped approaches that engage consumers at expected sport & cultural moments in unexpected ways
  • Serving as a strong executional partner for brand concepts alongside external agencies, working collaboratively to build upon each other’s work
