Candidates should possess over 5 years of experience managing, administrating, or deploying Zscaler, along with over 5 years in networking/network security, including firewalls, DLP, CASB, and proxy services. A strong foundation in network security principles, such as Zero Trust architecture, and familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are essential. The role requires exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze device and traffic logs with extensive knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack. Proficiency in creating and managing security policies and protocols is also necessary, as is the ability to work autonomously while maintaining team collaboration.
The Sr. Engineer - Zscaler will work on various cloud security aspects, including web filtering policy enforcement, CASB, firewall, browser isolation, sandboxing, and data loss prevention. Responsibilities include assessing, identifying gaps, and developing controls to mitigate security threats and manage infrastructure. Key tasks involve developing, maturing, and maintaining Zscaler’s cloud-based infrastructure, migrating policies from legacy proxy environments, and configuring firewalls in ZIA. The engineer will also maintain, implement, monitor, support, and troubleshoot networks, applications, and endpoint security related to Zscaler, resolve complex network and security issues, and conduct regular security audits. Collaboration with cross-functional teams for integration, maintaining knowledge of Zscaler products, providing training, and developing documentation are also crucial duties. Participation in emergency response teams for security incidents and post-mortem analysis is expected.
