Requirements

  • Strong technical leadership skills to drive architectural decisions, technical excellence, and innovation
  • Experience building and evolving large-scale cloud-based distributed systems that scale reliably
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Go, Python, Unix shell, Typescript, C++
  • Ability to read, critique code, and provide technical guidance and feedback
  • Knowledge of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, peer code reviews, logging, and resilient architecture patterns
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to take ownership, be accountable for deliverables, and manage time autonomously

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for the Policy Management team
  • Drive end-to-end technical strategy and build technology roadmaps
  • Mentor engineers and ensure successful project delivery
  • Build and evolve cloud-based systems to manage and distribute configuration information to millions of endpoints
  • Collaborate with cloud, front-end, and endpoint developers across multiple teams
  • Brainstorm, design, and build elegant, performant solutions for complex technical problems
  • Review and critique code and pull requests, providing technical feedback
  • Focus on continual learning and raising engineering standards for self and team
  • Apply best practices to ensure clean code and straightforward deployments
