Software Developer in Test - Cloud Detections Platform

Position Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking a Software Developer in Test for our Cloud Detections Platform team. This team is responsible for building CrowdStrike’s next-generation detection platform, which operates at a massive scale, processing trillions of events daily with tight latency and response time constraints. You will be instrumental in developing and operating the team's CI/CD pipeline, ensuring the reliability of our solutions, and identifying issues proactively. This role involves building an end-to-end validation pipeline, leveraging existing frameworks and tooling while also innovating when necessary. You will work in an environment where quality is deeply ingrained in the company culture, utilizing cutting-edge and established technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and Break: Verify component, system integration, and application-level features and functionality to ensure our reliability, accuracy, and performance meet quality standards.
• Code and Design Reviews: Participate in code and design reviews, providing technical guidance and feedback to team members.
• Testability Guidance: Review engineering technical design documents and requirements, offering guidance and strategy on how and where to build in testability.
• Process Improvement: Engage in continuous improvement of our end-to-end test and validation processes.
• Test Coverage: Increase and improve automated test coverage, contributing to existing tools, frameworks, and related solutions.
• Tooling Innovation: Leverage new open-source solutions to build new tools that test in novel ways.
• Product Quality: Improve delivered product quality across our entire platform and applications.
• Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate on determining root causes of production outages and implementing quality improvements to prevent future occurrences.
• Feature Verification: Verify key features and functionality across processing, data, and customer-facing application layers to support low-latency prevention of malware, manage tens of thousands of events per second, query across terabytes of data, and support the team in delivering quality code tested to perfection.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience.
