Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 12 years in product management, with substantial experience in SaaS, AI, and/or automation. A strong understanding of workflow platforms, including triggers, variables, conditions, and actions, along with no-code, low-code, and pro-code authoring modalities is required. Experience with and a deep interest in building experiences powered by generative and agentic AI are essential. The role demands strong technical acumen and a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing product management teams, successfully taking products from concept to market in a startup or agile innovation environment with a rapid experimentation mindset. Self-motivation in using AI tools for personal productivity and scaling team output with technology is also a key requirement.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Product Management will lead the industry's transformation toward fully automated operations by owning the current AI and Automation portfolio and its integration into PagerDuty Operations Cloud. Responsibilities include developing a compelling product strategy and roadmap for PagerDuty’s AI assistant, AI agent platform, and automation offerings, and strategically allocating resources between innovation and existing products. The role involves evangelizing the internal AI agent platform to empower teams to build agents, expanding the AI ecosystem through partnerships and integrations, and setting product engagement targets to drive usage-based packaging and pricing models. Success will be measured by driving product decisions focused on customer value, product engagement, feedback, win rates, retention, and ARR. Additionally, the position requires fostering a high-performing product management team through coaching and accountability, and building trusted relationships with customers, partners, media, and industry analysts to represent PagerDuty as a thought leader.
