Responsibilities

  • Represent the company's interests to the US government as well as international governments and agencies (non-lawyer role)
  • Assist with government contracts, domestic product preferences, gift and gratuity regulations, and former government employee restrictions
  • Participate in long-term efforts including policy shaping
  • Develop expertise within the function
  • Build reputation within the organization, serving as an expert in the discipline and providing thought leadership
  • Influence policy, ensure delivery within the function, and connect with other organizational functions
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Utilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision-making
  • Guide others to find creative solutions for complex problems that may impact the organization
  • Assess the quality of received information and question contradictory data for analysis
  • Use various internal resources and external resources outside own function to aid decision-making
  • Potentially lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource needs, risk, and/or complexity
  • Provide business solutions to senior leadership in the function
