Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 9 years of experience in software development
  • At least 7 years of experience in people management
  • At least 5 years of public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Deep understanding of networking, software development, and complex system design
  • Expertise in Local Area Networks, Cloud Networks, BGP, SD-WAN, VxLAN, Wi-Fi, and software tools like Ansible, Python
  • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Preferred: 13+ years of experience in software development
  • Preferred: 10+ years of experience in people management
  • Preferred: 7+ years of experience with Networking (BGP, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Cloud Networking, Data Center Networking)
  • Preferred: 7+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and best practices around the enterprise network agenda while collaborating across domains with Cyber, Cloud, and Software Engineering teams
  • Drive connectivity technical (network) evolution across engineering, security, and automation pillars
  • Be an expert in building new fit-for-purpose automation and software systems attached to new systematic capabilities
  • Lead people and skip-level managers in an organization of 50+ people
  • Communicate effectively up to the executive level
  • Create group-level processes, generate roadmaps, strategies, and manage workflows
  • Lead, manage, and grow multiple teams of product-focused software engineers
  • Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers
  • Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions
  • Stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor others
  • Encourage innovation, cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • Improve velocity across your and other teams
