Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2+ years specifically in a data-focused role (Data Product Manager, Technical PM on a data team, etc.)
  • A strong technical understanding of modern data architecture, including data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran), ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and visualization tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (Engineering, Science, Business) without direct authority in a highly technical environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with a particular talent for explaining complex data architecture and technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of Agile development and experience working in sprints with a dedicated data or engineering team
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience defining frameworks for Machine Learning or predictive analytics deployment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field

Responsibilities

  • Define and evangelize the overarching vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform and analytics ecosystem, ensuring clear alignment with key company objectives and revenue goals
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance) and technical teams, translating ambiguous business needs into a prioritized data product backlog. Own and ruthlessly prioritize this backlog, balancing technical debt, immediate stakeholder needs, and long-term strategic investments
  • Own the lifecycle for critical data products, including data ingestion pipelines, our data warehouse, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, and the frameworks for deploying Machine Learning (ML) models
  • Write clear, concise, and technically sound user stories and requirements for Data Engineers and Data Scientists, ensuring the "why" behind each initiative is understood for effective execution
  • Champion data governance, quality, and discoverability. Directly responsible for building trust in our data and establishing the "single source of truth" for key business metrics
  • Partner closely with Data Engineering on strategic trade-offs regarding architecture, tooling, and infrastructure to ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Collaborate with other Product Managers to identify and deliver data-powered features within our SaaS application, such as customer health scoring, personalization, and recommendation engines
