Requirements

  • Direct responsibility for strategy, execution, and overall leadership of the Affiliate Wholesale LOB
  • Key member of affiliate executive leadership team reporting directly to the Affiliate President
  • Typically utilized in large affiliates
  • Accountable for risk management, openly exchanging ideas, elevating concerns, and following policies and procedures
  • Ensures actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience while operating within the Bank's risk appetite

Responsibilities

  • Direct, coach, and lead execution of Wholesale Strategy including Playbook execution, annual business planning, portfolio segmentation, business development, and client relationship strategies
  • Establish sales goals for team members and ensure they meet/exceed goals while adhering to Bank's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor team members, especially on complicated loan structures, develop less experienced team members, build partnerships with market talent, identify talent, and cultivate relationships
  • Provide RMs and Team Leads with support, ongoing feedback, coaching, and direction in client/prospect business development through sales meetings, team meetings, and joint calling
  • Ensure sales effectiveness and performance management results via weekly/monthly reporting and utilize Onboarding Resource for new team members
  • Lead regional/portfolio business planning to grow lead client relationships and acquire new prospects to achieve loan and fee production goals
  • Lead prospect strategy utilizing referral sources, existing clients, and centers of influence
  • Maintain active and visible community and industry involvement to broaden networks, leverage referrals, and deepen knowledge of trends, practices, services, and competition
  • Ensure customer relationships maximize revenue while mitigating risk and focusing on client needs
  • Collaborate with One Bank/product partners to analyze, evaluate, and develop tailored relationship strategies for top clients/prospects
  • Lead cross-sell strategy on all applicable 5/3 products/services to existing portfolio clients and their owners/senior management
  • Oversee execution of One Bank meetings, pre-call planning, Consultative Sales approach, and post-call follow-up; ensure CRM system utilization
  • Develop strong partnership with Credit on requests to ensure adherence to Portfolio Management guidelines and Policy
  • Ensure team achieves credit standards/metrics for asset quality, credit administration (maturities/renewals, financial statements, covenants, matured notes, document exceptions), and RAROC
  • Monitor ongoing client information
