Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma and minimum 5 years’ experience associated with end user technology support and IT related environments
  • Experience with Slack, Artifactory, Dynatrace, DataDog, Grafana, Kibana, Inteliu, Optimizely and SmartSheet
  • Minimum of five years customer service experience in Computer Technology
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with several different personalities and levels of management
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Proficient at technical troubleshooting of desktop and laptop computers, mobile technology devices, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other desktop software
  • Experience with supporting, installing, and configuring Order Entry applications
  • Ability to use remote support tools to troubleshoot remotely

Responsibilities

  • Assist BT support teams with technical support of IT infrastructure technology (workstations, laptops, iPads, PDA devices, printers, network equipment, telephones, backup appliances, wireless access points, server equipment, storage devices, routers, switches, etc.)
  • Train Support Specialist I associates and provide continued knowledge transfer to BT support technicians
  • Actively contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve and simplify technology services across the Sysco enterprise
  • Participate in hardware roadmap planning sessions and test new products for compatibility and functionality
  • Serve as the local escalation contact for IT support issues, escalating to Sysco Team Leads and BT Support Leads as needed
  • Act as the local corporate IT representative to answer IT-related questions and train local staff on entering, prioritizing, assigning service requests, and utilizing the support model
  • Keep local management informed on technology trends and local alignment with trends to maintain system availability
  • Meet regularly with local senior management to report on proactive refresh cycles, hot spare inventory, anti-virus compliance, patch compliance, enterprise upgrade projects, data backups, and general technology health
  • Support and repair laptops, workstations, PDA devices, mobile computing technology, operating systems, and associated software
  • Coordinate enterprise workstation OS deployment
  • Provide support for printers and peripherals
  • Coordinate and validate problem resolution for warranty or third-party on-site repairs on IT equipment
  • Provide secondary support for Communications and System Support technicians
