Candidates should possess a Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements, knowledge of transportation service regulations (e.g., OBD, SAE vehicle standards), and advanced Microsoft Excel experience are essential. Experience in a technical sales or account management role and knowledge of vehicle circuitry and CAN are considered assets.
The Solutions Engineer will leverage deep technical knowledge of the Geotab product suite to identify and build solutions for customer needs. Key responsibilities include assisting sales teams in pre-sales opportunities and pilots, supporting Big Data initiatives, and developing, implementing, and maintaining new Geotab products. The role involves consulting with customers on effective technology usage, participating in engineering projects with partners and customers, maintaining project documentation, and supporting sales teams with technical queries and end-user requirements for special projects.
