Solution Architect - ANZ/ASEAN

Position Overview

ClickHouse is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to join our rapidly growing team and help build out our user and customer community in the ANZ/ASEAN region. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company at the forefront of open-source database technology, following a successful Series C funding round. The ideal candidate will be a technical professional capable of offering specialized business solutions and technical expertise to customers, guiding them to achieve their objectives and maximize their use of ClickHouse.

We empower users to generate real-time analytical reports through SQL queries, focusing on speed and efficiency in managing escalating data volumes. ClickHouse Cloud is trusted by enterprises worldwide, including Lyft, Sony, IBM, GitLab, Twilio, and HubSpot. Our technology is available as open-source or on AWS, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba.

Note: This role is remote, but the final candidate must be located in either Australia or Singapore and be open to regional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Working with complex business and technological requirements, translating them into the design of solutions, including data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architecture.
• Engaging directly with customers at all organizational levels (C-suite to data scientists and developers), acting as a trusted advisor.
• Articulating and evangelizing the company and product vision and positioning, securing strategic commercial commitments.
• Utilizing a solution-based approach to selling and creating value for customers.
• Identifying and driving new initiatives that enable customers to transform their data into actionable business value, aligning these initiatives with business outcomes for sustained success.
• Collaborating with partners to scale the business and build a robust technical ecosystem to support customers in the Australia, New Zealand, and ASEAN regions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience with Open Source Software business models.
• Proficiency in Cloud and Infrastructure software.
• Experience with scalable and highly available distributed systems.
• Experience creating Proofs of Concept (POCs) and reference implementations.
• Fluency in English.

Bonus Points

• Experience selling databases and/or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
• Experience with database programming and data models.
