Candidates must possess at least 5 years of professional work experience in a healthcare/clinical environment, with the ability to independently design and develop new software products or major enhancements. A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering, or a related technical field is required, or an additional 10 years of experience may substitute for the degree. Experience implementing electronic health records, specifically Millennium experience on code levels 2018 or higher, is preferred, along with a strong understanding of Cerner Model recommendations, VA experience, and the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
The Solution Advisor will provide Cerner expertise and knowledge transfer to VA stakeholders, train VA-assigned solution experts, and support Solution Management Administrators. Responsibilities include conducting workflow analysis, contributing to future-state workflow design, identifying workflow risks, managing trouble tickets and change requests, supporting reporting requirements, developing and executing EHRM testing scripts, and collaborating with Oracle Health and VA on build, design, and workflow changes. The role also involves reviewing training materials, supporting cutover/go-live planning and post-go-live assistance, developing workplans, and providing subject matter expertise in Social Work and Behavioral Health solutions.
