Requirements

2+ years direct management experience of 3+ people
5+ years experience on high-performing software teams
2+ years of professional experience managing complex technical projects and developing and tracking schedules
Significant current/previous hands-on technical work on an interdisciplinary project (such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, avionics, or aerospace)
Equivalent experience or B.S. in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, aerospace, or a related field
Experience in testing embedded hardware/software systems

Responsibilities

Lead a team of test software engineers in developing comprehensive test suites to validate the integrated satellite systems
Recruit and plan for an organization that will scale to meet the demands of the business as it grows
Be the driving force behind having a technically excellent team by mentoring team members and setting high standards
Work with discipline engineers to devise tests (verification and validation) that prove or disprove assumptions and models
Work with avionics and software engineers to identify problems and lead investigations into anomalous vehicle behavior
Create an inclusive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture that fosters high productivity and opportunities for growth
Identify and implement processes, tools, and infrastructure that help accelerate the design and development effort
