Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role for complex systems, experience in Service Delivery in a development team, the ability to build and manage automated test scripts using software tools, working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr, Bugzilla, Cucumber) as well as a good understanding of SQL, and good working knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer (Tester) will be responsible for performing automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose prior to release into the live IT infrastructure, creating and documenting automated and manual test plans/scripts, ensuring new products meet requirements and specifications, executing built test cases and analysing results, recording all defects discovered and producing reports, managing software bugs, conducting post-release regression testing, managing test environments, monitoring existing hardware platforms and Vantage products, escalating any discovered issues, and monitoring, responding, resolving and escalating calls logged to the team within Vantage’s Incident management system. They will also assist and support the developers in day-to-day operational tasks, including monthly data updates, monitoring services, assisting analysts with data requirements, and performing other daily operational tasks, as well as meeting with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
