Requirements

Candidates should have at least 5 years of backend development experience, with demonstrated experience scaling platform features and/or optimizing app performance. They should possess proficiency in TypeScript, GraphQL, and MongoDB, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving with iterative execution in mind. Experience applying AI in products or a strong interest in exploring this space is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Senior Software Engineer on the Test Experience team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and owning new product functionality and/or infrastructure, leading high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders, setting technical direction for critical surface areas, and working with talented engineers to make a significant impact on the customer base. You will also contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture, scaling infrastructure to match the growing customer base, building out the next generation Tests data architecture, optimizing app performance, enhancing customization and visibility across test inputs, logic, and results, integrating cutting-edge LLM tools and AI agents into the full Tests lifecycle, and ultimately shaping the future of Automated Tests.
