Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations
2 years of experience working with data manipulation languages, understanding of data modeling principles, and working with complex data models
2 years of experience in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net
2 years of experience utilizing industry best practices (e.g., code coverage)
2 years of experience working well with internal and external technology resources
2 years of experience writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
2 years of experience utilizing software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
2 years of experience working with data storage subsystems
2 years of experience working in test-driven development
2 years of experience completing moderately complex bug fixes

Responsibilities

Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity
Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs
Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
Resolve technical issues as necessary
Keep abreast of new technology developments
Complete bug fixes
Perform other duties as needed
