Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Preferred experience includes proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, GCP or other cloud platforms, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and GraphQL.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer II will contribute to the development of new features and improvements for team workflows, including version control systems, commenting, custom roles and permissions, and React Server Components. They will also work on enhancing existing and developing new back-end services that power the builder and public APIs, prioritizing API performance and reliability as BigCommerce scales. Additionally, the role involves working with the open-source runtime powered by Next.js and contributing to the component ecosystem.
