Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 3+ years of experience developing backend systems or APIs in Java, with preference for Spring Boot. Familiarity with cloud-native development, particularly in AWS (ECS, Lambda, CloudFront), is required. Experience with client app teams and integrating APIs is also desired.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer II will build, maintain, and scale backend APIs to serve personalized content experiences to millions of users, collaborating with client app teams to ensure seamless API integration and consistent playback experiences. They will enhance infrastructure resiliency across live sporting events and major media moments through LiveOps and OnCall rotations, and contribute to the development of internal tools and dashboards. Furthermore, they will work with CDN, proxy, and cache layers, participate in production triage, and champion best practices around alerting, auto-scaling, and system redundancy.
