Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with a Master's degree being a plus. They need 2-5 years of professional experience in a backend engineering role, hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and proficiency in Go (Golang). Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform, good communication skills, a solid understanding of system architecture and software engineering practices, and the ability to quickly learn and ship code are also required. Experience with Scala is a plus.
The Engineer II, Data Services will develop the data streaming platform and common event bus, manage cloud infrastructure for data services using Infrastructure as Code, and write clean, well-tested code for reliable services. They will take ownership of tasks from design to completion, share knowledge, contribute to documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. Responsibilities also include participating in the on-call schedule, responding to production issues, and refactoring legacy code to improve maintainability and efficiency.
