Candidates should have 1.5+ years of experience in software development or engineering, proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL), web frameworks, and RESTful API development is required, along with a strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps), excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Preferred skills include experience with checkout related products and UX, and a background in fintech and financial services.
The Software Engineer II will participate in the design, development, and deployment of software systems and applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and architecture. They will write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, optimize and refactor existing code, and review code to ensure adherence to best practices. Responsibilities also include analyzing and troubleshooting complex technical issues, developing innovative solutions, implementing software testing and quality assurance processes, and working closely with product managers, designers, and analytics to deliver high-quality products. The engineer will participate in Agile development practices and on-call duties to support the application.
