Requirements

  • Experience with software quality principles and automation strategies
  • Coding skills in Python or Java (3+ years)
  • Experience with test frameworks such as Pytest, JUnit, TestNG
  • Hands-on experience testing RESTful APIs
  • A hands-on and collaborative approach
  • A security-first mentality, with interest in growing expertise in this area
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud platforms (exposure to Infrastructure as Code, e.g., Terraform or Helm)
  • Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting

Responsibilities

  • Partner with developers during the design/architecture phase to define test plans, acceptance criteria, and risk coverage early in the lifecycle (shift-left)
  • Design and implement automated tests for new features in Kubernetes, containers, and cloud security, expanding coverage beyond functionality to include performance, resiliency, longevity/soak, and scalability
  • Develop automation frameworks in a CI/CD environment to promote fast, safe releases
  • Promote quality practices and process improvements to increase the reliability and security of our solutions
