Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 5 years of software development experience. They should have strong programming knowledge using C or C++ within the Network or Security domain, and familiarity with TCP/IP and multithreaded programming is a plus. Experience with UNIX or Linux operating systems, along with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Software Dev Staff Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, improving, and maintaining new and existing SonicOS components, while comfortably multitasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment. They will maintain existing software features by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs, collaborating with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements, and writing functional and design specifications. Furthermore, they will work with peers in various development centers to deliver cutting-edge features to customers, and work with technical publications for documentation needs.
