Requirements

Candidates should have experience working at a news outlet or media company, be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, collaborative, and able to juggle multiple projects. They should also possess strong social media savvy, including knowledge of best practices, tools, and trends, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with social media management tools like Later.com and Sprout Social. Experience with Photoshop and basic knowledge of fonts, color theory, and layout is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Social Media Producer will assist with content production and promotion strategies, producing daily content for Facebook and LinkedIn, working with reporters to build expanded X/Threads story breakdowns, collaborating with the Multimedia team on cross-platform collaboration, including with TRD’s video team to script social-first videos, managing community engagement and expanding TRD's network of industry collaborators, providing administrative support for analytics and campaign success, and collaborating with the Marketing team on promotional efforts including events, partnerships, and subscriptions.
