Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, and demonstrate proven experience in creating content within a newsroom or digital publication environment, with a track record of engaging a large audience. A deep understanding of lifestyle trending topics such as internet conversations, health, entertainment, science, and wellness is required, along with strong editorial judgment and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing trends. Prior experience with AI/LLM tools is preferred, but not mandatory.
The Life & Trends reporter will create multiple stories per day on high-interest topics related to life advice, personal dilemmas, health, wellness, and trending digital themes, utilizing analytics data to determine stories that resonate with audiences. They will monitor content performance, optimize headlines and visuals, actively participate in brainstorming sessions, contribute innovative content ideas, and refine stories based on editor feedback to drive audience growth and engagement. Additionally, the reporter will leverage AI/LLM tools to enhance reporting speed, depth, and breadth, and explore opportunities for further developing AI tools, while fulfilling any other reasonable duties as needed to meet the business’s needs.
