Position Overview

Experian's North America Corporate Social Media team is seeking a Social Content Designer to create engaging, platform-ready content. This role is crucial for boosting engagement and supporting our communications strategy across social media and our global news blog. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and communication awareness, working collaboratively with PR and social teams to amplify our brand voice and protect our reputation.

This is a hybrid position, requiring 1 to 2 days per week in the Costa Mesa, CA office. The role reports to the Director of Social Media.


Responsibilities

  • Design and produce social-first content, including short-form video, motion graphics, carousels, GIFs, and static graphics.
  • Translate complex topics such as financial health, data, and technology into visually compelling content.
  • Edit platform-optimized videos, adhering to best practices for sound, captions, pacing, and format.
  • Collaborate across various teams to ensure content aligns with messaging priorities, media moments, and campaign objectives.
  • Maintain consistency in brand identity, tone, and accessibility across all created content.
  • Stay current with industry trends and social storytelling tactics to introduce fresh, relevant ideas.
  • Develop reusable templates and assets to enhance content production efficiency, both regionally and globally.
  • Support campaign execution and provide creative input to team members.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing, with a strong focus on content for social media platforms.
  • Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing motion design, social video editing, and graphics created for brand storytelling is required.
  • Communications Acumen: Experience with public relations, reputation management, or strategic communications is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in popular graphic and video software tools such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
  • Social Media Knowledge: Understanding of social media formats, creative best practices, and content specifications for platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, BlueSky, Discord, and X.
  • Bonus: Experience utilizing AI for content creation, brainstorming, visuals, and storytelling.
