Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in SMT rework, assembly, and soldering. Proficiency in hand soldering and reworking fine-pitch components is required, along with the ability to use SMT assembly equipment. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards is essential.
The SMT Rework/Assembly Technician will perform SMT rework and assembly tasks, including component removal, replacement, and reflow soldering. They will solder and desolder various surface-mount devices, inspect and troubleshoot PCBs, and operate SMT rework stations and soldering equipment. The technician will also assemble electronic components onto PCBs, read and interpret assembly drawings, and ensure compliance with ESD control procedures while collaborating with engineering and production teams to enhance processes.
