Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Active license from Board of Nursing in state of practice upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Under medical supervision, skillfully administer and suggest proper respiratory procedures and protocols (e.g., IPPB, nebulizer, O2 therapy, chest physiotherapy, pulse oximetry, peak flow, incentive spirometry)
Demonstrate working knowledge of respiratory drug pharmacology, adverse effects, and reporting adverse drug reactions
Skillfully maintain infant through adult long-term respiratory support via mechanical ventilation and noninvasive ventilation, making adjustments based on lab data and physician orders
Evaluate effectiveness of therapy through patient assessment
Perform EKGs, apply Holter monitors, and apply cardiac event monitors
Participate as part of the Code Blue team, Rapid Response team, and Trauma team
Seek physician input for incomplete orders, questionable therapy, or per protocols
Clean and retest equipment per policy before next patient use
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care, and education
Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient needs for sleep studies
Communicate with patients and physicians regarding sleep studies
