Requirements

  • Deep, demonstrated success in navigating and closing deals utilizing State and Local cooperative contracts (e.g., NASPO ValuePoint), and specific state contract vehicles, including CMAS/CALNET (CA) and DIR (TX)
  • Specific, working knowledge of the procurement processes and key strategic IT initiatives in California and Texas (highly preferred)
  • Multi-State Market Knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Drive adoption of identity and security technologies across California (CA) and Texas (TX) SLED markets, including state agencies, major university systems (UC/CSU in CA, UT/Texas A&M in TX), and key local governments
  • Develop and grow executive relationships with key decision-makers in California Department of Technology (CDT), large state agencies (e.g., CalHHS, FTB, CDCR), Governor's Office, Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), and major Texas state agencies (e.g., Health and Human Services, Comptroller's Office)
  • Position solutions (Cybersecurity, Zero Trust, Cloud IAM) to address state initiatives like My Digital CA, agency cybersecurity, cloud services, Generative AI with secure identity governance, Texas DIR modernization, cloud adoption, and digital service delivery
  • Navigate complex procurement vehicles such as CMAS, CALNET, DGS contracts (CA), Texas DIR Contracts, and state cooperative purchasing programs
  • Target IT leadership and CISOs in large public university systems (UC/CSU in CA, UT/Texas A&M in TX) and major local governments in Northern California
  • Work closely with key system integrators and partners managing major state IT modernization programs across CA and TX
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and gross profit quotas for the assigned CA and TX SLED portfolio
  • Leverage security authorizations (e.g., FedRAMP Moderate, pursuing FedRAMP High) to meet stringent security and compliance mandates
