Requirements

Candidates must have prior experience managing teams and recent hands-on software or reliability engineering experience. A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience, is required. Strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, Linux systems administration, containerization, and infrastructure as code is necessary. Proficiency in project management methodologies and effective communication skills in English are essential. Availability for critical meetings and synchronous work between UTC-6 and UTC-3 time zones is mandatory, along with the ability to travel several times a year.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will manage globally distributed SRE teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for engineer growth and effectiveness. Responsibilities include setting performance goals, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members. They will manage workload, prioritize tasks, and set expectations for peers and team members. The manager will coordinate with other engineering teams, develop team roadmaps, and execute annual and quarterly plans. They will lead incident response, diagnosis, and follow-up on system alerts and outages, participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Additionally, they will facilitate the definition of Service Level Indicators and Objectives and lead the refinement and execution of team processes.
